914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Show me your front mounted pumps

Posted by: The Cabinetmaker Sep 20 2014, 05:46 PM

I've done several fuel pump relocations to the rack area, but have never been completely thrilled with the outcome. They have been adequate, but always looking for something better. Please post your pics of your install.

Thanks

Not sure how useful mine will be because of the rhd conversion and clutch but here it is anyway
Sorry it's upside down. I'm in Australia after all

Here's mine, it's in the steering linkage tunnel and seems to use an existing hole in the unibody. Don't recommend this, if you look at the line that goes to the filter, it runs in a Z shape behind the other two lines and that filter is just loose in there. I think that linkage boot is pushing it around kinking the hose and causing loss of power via fuel starvation.

Here's what I did. Not much room for good hose routing but it works.
