Has anyone ever seen a metric KPH speedometer?

Yup,

That's what i go in the car. It came in MPH but i found a used one in KM/H at Hershey a couple of year ago.

I guess all I have seen are pre - 72 cars or American imports.

Check my swap meet pictures for one. It's in a (real!) 73 RS...

A friend of mine has an imported 914-6 with a Km/H speedometer. I have occasionally (very rarely) seen them for sale at swap meets.

If you want one, have it calibrated to your car, and the face rescreened...

i got a 944 speedo which has both on it ...

I found a kph speedometer in a 914 at Ecology, of all places. It's very nice...

We have been metric in Canada since the mid/late seventies, I think the USA and UK are the last hold outs.

Once you know the metric system it is easier, but some of the old farts hate change. wink.gif

I've driven old VW's (and now a teen) all my driving life, so I convert MPH to KPH without even thinking about it. Getting a KPH speedo is not high on my round-tuit list.
