914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Condensor (capacitor) wire location

No brainer question but of course the Hayes manual says nothing about this...

Well I have recieved a rebuilt dist. from Parts America and it came with points and capacitor however I removed the capacitor and points about a year ago that I don't know where to plug the wire into.

Any hints?

Thanks,
David

The long end goes on the coil negative. The short end goes into the distributor and connects to the points.

The capicator mounts on the one of the vacuume adv screws. The rubber block fits in the side of the dist. A small screw and part holds the rubber block in the side of the dist. The points plug on the block. As said the long green wire goes to the neg side of the coil.

Thank you that helped and I will hopefully try to start the car tomorrow. I may have to drag my wife out into the garage for a second pair of hands.
