Hey everyone, getting ready to pull the 1.7 out of my car. I have a local bug shop to advertise through but is it really worth anything ?

FI working 1.7 complete ( take a movie of it running ) easy $900 to a owner within pickup range.

What modifications are necessary to put a 1.7 into a '74 VW Beetle? Anyone ever done it?

Or is it worth keeping to have a matching numbers car even tho it's gonna be modified? When sold (if sold), the new owner will have everything to return it to stock- I've been advised by good sources here to keep all original part at least available.
