I drive the Interstate in the morning since I leave after 9am, but in the evening it seems like the backway and through Tampa is the faster way. Most of the time the worst thing is playing Busch Blvd Frogger where the low-lifes don't know what a Crosswalk is.

But this evening is different! I drive my Ford150 Harley Davidson daily and on the way home this Douch-Nozzle pulled out into a 4 lane Road in front of me! I was in the range of the Speed Limit which was 50. I bought my Truck 2 Months ago with 21,000 Miles and there was a Brake Line Problem (after I tested a bunch of Stuff) I replaced Calipers, Rotors, Pads & Lines. They were put to the test tonight when I went Full On ABS to stop 4 Inches from this guy's door & noggin! He just Waved & left!

I kinda saw the guy out 100 degrees a few seconds before. I would never have seen him in a 914 and I don't think a 914 would have stopped without skidding like the ABS did!

Be Careful out there!

I had a guy do that to me last year, in the rain no less.

I barely managed to stop 1 foot away from his driver door and he just smiled and drove off.

Glad to hear you avoided a collision! There are idiots out there that want you to hit them so they can sue you.

And there are even worse people out there...

Here you are going down the road at 50-60mph and you have an asshat turning onto the road who has to "beat" you to get in front. Often cutting you right off, making you hit the brakes, blowing through stop signs to do it and then turning left barely feet after cutting you off.

Grrrrr mad.gif

And don't get me going about left hand lane hogs.....a lot of fucking idiots out there.

It always seems to be the slower drivers that feel the need to cut you off... They'll pull out in front of you as if they're in a hurry and drive slower than you were.

Sometimes I think these people are just trying to slow me down, like vigilante speed limit enforcers.

It was all in the ABS! I thought for sure I was going to hit him. In a 914 I would have seen him later & slid right into him

Kind of a combination of several replies... I was riding my Harley when I was hit broadside by a flatbed truck that ran a stop sign at a blind intersection. It was four years ago this month. I was well and truly farked up but thanks to the excellent care of the first responders and the subsequent medical professionals, and to God above, I managed to eventually recover. Not that it would have been a whole lot better, but the 914 would have protected me...at least a little bit.
