got bored today and decided to go out to the local junkyard and find a donor rearview mirror, but then i took a look in my wallet and only saw $8. Then came the bright idea to remove the rearview mirror out of my 88' camry and see if it was possible to mount to where the visor holder is located. Took about 30 mins, but after a little file-ing and two longer screws i end up with the following:

I thought it looked a little ricey...
Kinda cool actually, how does it view out the back? can you see over the seats and under the targa top?

i can see perfect under the targa bar, and see over the seats. As you can see from the picture taken take with the camera on my cell...you can see a corner of the passenger seat. The view is quite sufficient. Although i wouldnt mind the mirror being place a bit further forward to get a better view of the rear.

since i have no use for the center tab. CALLING DR. EVIL where do i mail this tiny piece to? You could have it free of charge.
Well, what about the visors? Are they still attached in the center?
i dont think its polite to "call out" dr evil for a competing product. mike is a good guy. I was down at his place in SD yesterday morning.
and he does more than just mirrors
PS - he is at a MED SCHOOL interview in VA right now
yea they're still attached all i had to do was drill a hole for the visor peg. However, Ive only got the passenger side visor installed, b/c the driver side one has a tendency to flop down when not in use.

hmm...since you've been to his place aaron what's his addy? so i could just send it to him before he's back in town.
Nice, I must have missed this when I was interviewing. I like mine better, but yours is not ugly at all. My cost is mainly for hours spent making it (about 2). I'll PM you my address> i realy apreciate the free parts
Hmm..med school, and his avitar looks like somebody I want to have operate on me.... Just F'in with ya.... I like the mirror...
School in VA eh, let me know if you get in, I live in VA...I could save on shipping costs for the mirror mod, haha. BTW I'm traveling to SD in March too, coincidence...I think not!
Hmmmmm, no competition allowed....Oh well, I guess capitalism goes down the shitter and communism takes it's place.
dlo, your cheapness is inspiring. since my rear view mirror just fell of the other day, i'll be heading to the pick n pull this monday on my day off.

Actually Nathan, I was interviewing at Penn State in Hershey, not VA. But I will be local enough. Shipping is included in the $50 pricetag by the way.
