Actually, this half Lambo 914 is the most tasteful re-imagined 914 I've ever seen. Accents (headlights, read haunches, etc.) are definitely Lambo/Lambo inspired. Construction was very well done and tasteful. Though over the top, it doesn't LOOK so obnoxious like so many I have seen that just look ridiculous, disproportionate and just made badly. I just hope the power plant was greatly upgraded. Otherwise a car looking like a super Spyder with loveable 914 performance would be most out of place.
Anyway, I thought you'd enjoy, maybe get some ideas for those re-imagining their car. This one was nicely done.
More pics from the inaugural Classic 24 Hour from the pits, track and corral to be posted.
Wow! nicely done. I like the design.
Our ride down to Daytona -
1958 VW Type 2 Brundage Motors (later Brumos) Porsche + Audi dealership / #59 race service bus replica. Owned by my buddy Mark.
The most beautiful 912 I've ever seen. Absolutely mint.
Back to back - 911T and 912
901 Shop has a Type 2 cab with a 3.2 Carrera motor in it!
And with tan 914 seats!
^ That's a friggin' NICE cab, btw.
Great Pics thanks for sharing those. What engine was in the Wild Orange flared 914? Will have to attend next year...BTW I think that's a 3.6 motor in the bus.
Will post pics from the track later. Enjoy for now!
Who else was here? Anybody else in my vicinity?
I was there from Thursday at noon until Sunday at noon. I took 2500 pictures. They will be going up on my Flickr page if I live long enough to sort thru them.
Ah Race cars give true meaning to the term "industrial art"!
