Hey Brad,
Can you help me out a bit?
I need some pics of the pickup points for the rear suspension of your tube car
Out of all the pics on the All914.com site, that's the only part of the car you can't see clearly...
Thanks
Jeroen
Here is a collection of more tube-car pics. It if from an ebay page that I was making too sell his car on ebay so its not complete.
http://www.britainsmith.com/Ebay/Porsche/tubecar.htm
There are some good images of the suspension point.
Hope this helps...

Hey Britain,
Thanks, but you don't have a good look on the mountingpoints of the rear trailing arm in these pics...
cheers,
Jeroen
The car is down at the body shop.. I cant take pics of it.
You dont really want pics anyway.. The car had close to NO adjustment for camber.
The whole idea was to build a control arm that adjusted at the wheel (which is what he did) I just dont have them on the car (yet).
B
No biggie...
It wasn't so much for the mounts themselves, but more for the triangulation of the tubing to the pick-up points.
cheers,
Jeroen
Jeroen,
You have a better idea of what to do than the guy that built B's car did when that car was built. The triangulation in that car and how load paths travel thru the frame is not the greatest design. He improved on the later cars.

Not adequate might be a better term compared to "Poor" It might actually sell one day If I try.
The later cars where much better.
B
Ok, if (more likely when) I build new pick-up points, should I raise 'em while I'm at it?
By how much?
cheers,
Jeroen
Jeroen,
A detailed photograph of the rear trailer arm/pick-up point of a newly rebuild 914 is shown in the Mittelmotor catalogue; I don't know if it also shows on their website. Let me know if it will be helpful.
Anton
Hey Anton,
Thanks, but pics of the stock setup are not what I'm looking for...
I will cut you the complete frame-rail in the engine compartment (between the firewall and the rear top shock tower) and will fab something new.
cheers,
Jeroen
