914World.com _ 914World Garage _ stupid question of the day

Does this hardware have to be installed when i bleed the brakes? New back discs and am wanting to bleed them this afternoon. So install hardware, bleed, un install ,check vent clarence and then re install. And then burn them in.

The pin and clip are for the e-brake cable. The two small clips retain the long pins that keep the pads in place and the X spring on top of the pads. These must be removed anyway to measure pad vent clearance. So the short answer is no.

The pin and clip are for the e-brake cable. The two spall clips retain the long pins that keep the pads in place and the X spring on top of the pads. These must be removed anyway to measure pad vent clearance. So the short answer is no.
