What paint or coating is the most original looking for the rockers, valances and top?
Thanks!

I have a 30% gloss, single stage paint mixed at the body shop supply.
It's between a satin and semi gloss.

hate to be that guy, but I cant answer your question so here goes.

Use Search.

There are a number of authentic roof top restoration threads that go into lots of discussion about the correct paint...

Might want to look in the restoration forum, and also the originality forum.

There are certain paints that do work with todays chemicals, but not something I know off the top of my head.

I have used SEM brand Bumper Coater (Simi gloss black single stage) It works good, but I think it is just a bit too Flat or dull. I am going to try to get some paint made up and re shoot my rockers.

Sem Trim Black Part No 39144

Does this match the original color for rocker covers? Top?

I was really looking to duplicate as close as possible the textured look of the original coating. Any ideas there? I'll definitely check the originality thread.
Thanks.

I used 2K urethane underhood black from Eastwood. I think it matches the original semi gloss black perfectly. It's a paint without texture. So for the top you will need to add some texture if your's needs it.
