I've just removed my AC and in doing so my center console, my old car was did not have the center console and i liked it, made the interior less cramped on long drives... anyhow, currently I have Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, Volts, and Clock i need to relocate, other than the 3 way gauge in dash, what other clean looking gauge installs you got!
Show me some Pics!
TIA Ferg.
No pics for you.
but you could do the little pod people have on top the dash.. (or below)
also the guy here on the club makes a very nice A-frame guage pod..
but the one I think would be the cleanest and nicest would be to remove the stereo and use the dash space...

Sorry, no pics either, but I used a bracket for 2 standard VDO gauges, mounting it where the ashtray goes. Looks good, but may not work so well if you area a smoker.
Ha! No pics either
I just mounted a 2 gage set under the dash... the illumination light for the gages is on with the ignition switch. So if it's a bit dark, you can still clearly see them.
An ashtray mount would be pretty cool.
Check out the pics in John Rogers recent post "Picture of the new paint job".
And forum member morphenspectra makes a pillar gage mount. His stuff is listed in the sources section.
Here' a pic. Anyone need a gas gauge.....and a wood lower dash facia....old growth mahogany... a brown interior perhaps?

Cool, I like the idea's so far, especially the a pillar design.
I had thought about removing the radio since you can't hear it above the exhaust anyhow. Does anyone make a piece that is made to fit that space, and has the gauges angled towards the driver?
Ferg.
I moved the stereo to where I can reach it better and put the guages where I can see them better.

Here is one when I first bought my car, the triple gauges were where the radio usually goes...

Here it is now with the radio and triple gauges in the center stack. The gauges are mouted behind the panel for a more finished look, no outer ring showing.

Sorry I'm late . . . .
Oil pressure and volt-meter mounted in VDO rubber 2-hole mount. Fits the ashtray cut-out pretty well, and the upper part of the dash keeps the guage lights from reflecting off the windshield.
Hope this helps.
Best,

I mounted a cht gauge in the pillar, morpenspectra didn't have his pillars pods made at the time, was looking for an alternate place to place this gauge.

I have three gauges where radio goes. CHT, Oil temp, Oil Pressure. On the top of tunnel is Air/fuel meter in aluminum pod I bent up shares the two bolts for the shifter and a tiny screw at the front edge.
Got no stinking radio.
