914World.com _ 914World Garage _ 914/6 bumper police question

Posted by: Hawk Jan 25 2015, 03:21 PM

Does the 1971 914/6 have the later rear bumper with rounded license plate indentation compared to the sharply angled bumper of the 1970 914/6?

These folks selling the willow green 1971 for $100,000 seem to think so.

IIRC. I believe it changed during that years production run, early on, so it depends on the build date? confused24.gif

And to make this even more confusing, the /4s changed to the rounded edges halfway through the '70 production while the /6s stayed with the sharp edges until early '71.

Altitude411 is correct. It was a change made in the early part of the '71 Six run.
