Ok I got the 19 mm sway and new bushings. What else to I need and any gotcha's do I need to know about or is a straight forward bolt out bolt in???
and if one is to run 160lb springs in the rear w/ no rear bar, what size is recommended for the front? 22MM?19MM?
sorry to pirate your thread.
my guess, 50/50 shot, more spring more bar, go 22mm. I've got 130's going on the back.
ive got 140 lb springs with a 23mm bar up front works good....
puttin on a rear bar too.... lots of front bar to compensate for it
There is a 914 "sweet spot" set-up for a mild AXer.
140-160 lb springs...no rear bar.
19 mm front bar set full soft & stock T-bars.
This set-up gives mild oversteer.....to lessen (if that's what you want for track, for instance) stiffen the AR bar.
Ok guys, I got wrench in hand....what else to I need?????????
i can deal with that!
I've got 21mm front torsion bars, 19mm front swaybar, and 180# rears. I very quickly ran out of front bar. Next up will be a new Tarret bar.

Greg,
I haven't done the upgrade, but I've installed a 15mm into a car that didn't have one.
Do the droplinks fit on the new bar?
Do you have all the bushings for the new bar?
If so, it should be pretty easy. Remember one side gets the bushings put on before it goes in the car, the other has to wait till the bar is in place.
thanks got it . I was more worried about fitting through the triangles but no prob...
Now rehabing all the little pieces and standardizing hardware..A little paint and a little cleaning and having fun.
New ignition wires, cleaned up some miscellaneous wires, laid out most of the new fuel system and got the new sway in.......good weekend....
