914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Rebuild sequence...

Posted by: falcor75 Jan 30 2015, 12:03 AM

I've had my car torn down for almost two years now and though I have alot of detail photos to get back too the hole sequence of doing things is a bit fuzzy to me.
Here's my thoughts on it but please add yours or correct me if I've missed something.

From a bare shell I've chosen to go this way. (sortof)

Tunnel fuel lines
Tunnel brake lines
Electrical harness
Windshield wipers
Fresh air box
Front sway bar
Front susension and steering (excluding the steering column)
Rear suspension
Complete the brake system
Complete the fuel system (up thru engine shelf lines)
Instrument panel (the steel part)
Steering column

Where would you go next? smile.gif

I would put the suspension on first and make it a roller. then install the lines and harness. After that its up to you. I'd do the interior last.

Start a build thread if you haven't already so we can watch your progress popcorn[1].gif
