914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Oil Catch Tank

I presume for track events i'll be needing a oil catch tank, puke tank. Evilbay seller have em for 50-100. I could be cheap & use a plastic bottle but it'd be cool to have a aluminium or stainless solution.

Anyone on here make one?

The GT parts list shows the the factory specified a w-washer bottle.

I'll be using a 914 ww bottle. I cut the mounts out of the front of a donor and I'll weld those into the rear trunk. Oil line runs through the cup into the rear trunk. The internals of the filler cap on the 914 ww bottle can be removed and the hose will easilly drop in through the center of the cap. Excess oil can be drained out the bottom.

Where does the line-in come from? Does it come from a breather box or something? Just wondering, before I hook my breather box up.

Here's a pic that shows mine. A plastic bottle next to the battery in the trunk. I cut a hole in the side and ran the breather line through the plastic cap in the trunk. It's not stainless steel but I can see how much is in it and it was cheap like me.
