Hey Gang,
Great News! Jaime (oldschool) has agreed to ride shotgun as camerman on the journey across this great land of ours. We will be putting together a real video documentary on the 914 and it's owners as we make the trek.
Jamie has agreed to voulteer his time whch means, he's not getting paid to do this for us. I've built a simple "Kickstart" campaign to help cover his costs on the trip. We're not looking to get rich, just cover some of the expenses for the week and for the editing.
We will be interviewing 914 owners as we cross the country. Please check the schedules in the cross-country thread. http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=248663
With your help, we'll have one hell of a video documentary of our little cars and the people who help keep them together.
I've put together a few rewards for donations:
1. For each $10.00 donated, you'll receive a PMB "rotor/caliper" keychain.
2. For each $20.00 donated, you'll receive a commemorative t-shirt, a keychain and "Benefactor" statis in the credits for the documentary.
3. For each $100.00 donated, you'll receive 20% off a PMB caliper order and all of the above.
Here's the link:

Thanks in advance for your help.

Just sent some funds over.
I think that you need some Midwest stops in the documentary.
Done! I agree....more Midwest stops!!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me you'll edit together all the clips of people walking up during filming "finally, a Fiat documentary" or "hey what kind of cars are those, oh are you sure?"
And you could run the clips off to the side while credits are rolling at the end of the documentary - you know, like outtakes or bloopers. It's a part of the 914 experience whether we like it or not, right. Why not poke fun at it!!!
Just a suggestion
done
My fault for Eric misspelling the New Orleans resturant. I suggested it & typed it wrong. Very embarrassing for a New Orleans native.
Kicked in! Safe travels.
Done and be safe
I put in $20, too. Wish you were coming farther north, but it's not recommended.
Contributed. GO FOR IT!!!
What about the movie?
How do we get to see it ?
There is no pledge for the movie itself.
Alright! I'm in too. Just hope my car is ready by the time you get to Shreveport. If not feel free to exclude me from your doc

Done!
Tremendous First Day Gang!!
Thanks to all of our 914World friends and our Facebook friends for making this an amazing first day. The project is over 1/3rd of the way there in just one day. 71% from right here!
Please "Share" and let every 914 owner in the world know about the project. The intent is to tell "your" story. Why you fell in love with this little gem and why you keep them running and running strong.
There's no doubt the 914 has gotten under our skin and tugged at our heartstrings. Now's the time to let the world know why.
Thanks so much for your support. Let's keep the momentum going!
This is cool, Eric! I feel bad as hell for Oldschool, of course. Who doesn't? But this is a cool idea.
Thank god you don't need air this time of year!!! I'm in!!!! Go Eric.
Best
The other 914 guy in Durango

"Mockumentary" Coffee just came out my nose!!
Does this mean I can call myself a "movie producer".
Have a great trip. I look forward to seeing what you all video!!
I'm in for the max.
I'm In, always wanted to be in the movie credits!
Even posted on my FB page! and I never use Facebook !
Is this you as a youngster?
I'm in. I didn't see "T" shirt size request. I'll have an XXL please.
In.
Glad to see you guys doing this.
John
Don't know if I want to give all my billing info to some "new" online payment service.
Can I paypal my generous contribution instead?
Also, why is coast to caost mispelled on the t-shirt art? (Iwould never let that happen to one of my print customers)
I'm in, have a great ride!
Betty and I just kicked in something for the video.
Done.
Since a lot of us aren't on the route, how about those that have donated have a picture of their car included? Maybe at the end? Just an idea.
Good luck and have fun!
Hey Gang,
Another big "THANK YOU" for everyone who has supported the cause. We still have a ways to go to get this funded but, I have confidence... it shall be done!
Four days in and we only have $2.5k to go. But, as Steve says... we need to make the goal to fund the project! We could use your support gang. We've raised more than this for "bail" in the past.
Thanks again for your support and please, rally the troops so we can make this a reality!!
Miles
I just donated and you should too! Erc's wife Vanessa will fillet him if he dips into the girl's college fund to make this documentary. The problem is, the girl's are really bright and talented and really should go to college!
Save the Erc! Donate to the kickstarter campaign now!
Erc is one of the finest jewelry makers in 914World. Don't let Vanessa kill him!

I'm in to! Enjoy your Drive! Looking forward to seeing the video.
I called the other day looking for some advice on how to set up my brakes. I had a lot of questions. I was told Eric was very busy working on a 914-6. They put me on hold and who comes to talk to me , Eric . I had no idea you were getting the car ready for this adventure. Your the man!! Always ready to help! Even when you could least afford to time wise.
Thanks Eric!
I am in as well, but I really want a T shirt.
I mailed a check to Eric because I am funny about all of the different places that want to collect your information. May have something to do with the type of people I regularly deal with..... or it could be a generational thing.
I refuse to give my doctors my SSN now. Identity theft is no laughing matter.
I'm in too (#90) . . . better late than never . . .
See you in Richmond!
Steve A-
Really really want to see you guys make the target!
Come People! This is a worthy 914 project. There is nothing you will see or do that will raise awareness for our cars like a project like this. I know you all will spend more that $ 20.00 for pizza and beer in one night this week.
Raising awareness raises interest, demand and value. It's all good. the next time you think about that paint job to rust repair and wonder if you can justify the cost vs the value remember this project.
If they don't raise the full amount of $ do they still get to keep the $ we signed up for? I don't want to get my $ back. Just want to make sure they get what I've agreed to pay
Done.
I see a lot of caliper refurbishing in your future
Just $1660 to go!
Meet the goal or not still going to send my support thru PayPal "914 documentary share". But with Prayers we will be able to meet that goal and more than that! God will surely bless Eric and Jaime!
I'm in! Well worth the investment and a caliper rebuild is on my list. Looking forward to seeing you in Amelia Eric and Jaime.
Kickstarter gets a percentage. If they don't meet the goal and we all still send the $ direct, they may net the same amount.
I just pledged $20
Come 914 people, let's fund this!
No fears-
I'll be the insurance policy.
If we haven't met the goal by the end, I will pick up the slack.
Almost there!
I'm in. Good luck with the trip.
Have fun Eric and Jaime, and a good drive to Vegas.
Beautiful day in Anaheim today.
I was wondering who else you got on camera today on the West Coast here?
This is going to be epic!
So, what's the dinner time widow in Abq NM? We've got a few folks who would like to meet Eric.
Eric I just donated my 20 clams to the cause...I know I am a bit late to the game but I just read this for the first time tonight. All the best to you on what is sure to be a FANTASTIC journey/experience!!
Seeing you guys today reminded me I hadn't jumped on this train yet. I'm in, and bumped to the top. Eric and Jamie, both be safe, can't wait for the movie
Just doubled my original pledge...
Hell yeah! I up'd my donation because this sounds awesome!
How is the documentary gonna be distributed? Youtube, HBO, ShoTime? or will it be free to all?? haha
**And no expiration date for the reward on calipers sounds good to me.
Looks like $125 more to go for the goal to achieve! Thank you Lord!
I just saw this! I wish I was going on this trip too! Anyhow, I'm in!
Happy trails!!!!!
Just kicked in a bit extra to get it over the top. Thought I added enough but it came up $20.00 short
Somebody out there kill the last $20.00
We are doing daily updates of Eric and Jamie's cross-country trip - http://fourteenermotoring.com
Looks like a bunch of folks wanted to see this project come to fruition! Big round of applause to all those that contributed to help a great guy with this project!
Can't wait to see the finished project.
Just pledge
Well done brothers.
Six grand is not the end. Please. Continue to donate to the cause.
This effort is more than just an incredible Coast to Coast road trip.
The lasting results will be a professional quality movie showing and sharing our 914 passion.

I've just got back from my interview and hanging with Eric, Andy, Jamie, Mike, Lee, James, Russ, and others at Turtle Mountain. Timing was bad for some, I heard they got there early and couldn't stay. Such is life, though.
I'm already second-guessing the things I talked about, kinda wishing I'd brought up the human element ... after all, what truly got me into these cars was the camaraderie of their owners as much as the car and its performance capability itself! As evidenced by the fact that this whole documentary thing is even going on, it's truly an amazing car, down-to-earth and simple with so much potential, owned by some amazing down-to-earth simple people. There, I said it.
Anyway, it was a big kick to talk on camera about techie stuff that I've only just begun to understand about the build of my own car. I surely am no expert, but I had fun. Forgot to mention so many things, but then it's not a documentary about my car, but all of 'em.
I'm sorry you guys didn't get to be fed, they tend to close up early in Rio Rancho. Eric, Andy, and Jamie, and Mike too, hopefully you're finding some late-night chow. I hope the rest of the drive goes well!
YOU ROCK.
Cool
Since the Kickstart goal has been met, can I just mail you a check, Eric?
PM me your address ...
Timing couldn't be better ... just so happens I need the F & R calipers for my early 911 'restored'
Hey Gang,
We did reach the goal but as JP mentioned, it's not over. I'm absolutely sure we'll go over budget on edits etc. So, if you need a really cool shirt, your name in the credits roll or, best bang for the buck, 20% off your upcoming caliper order... The Kickstarter campaign should still be active for a few days.
We really wanted to THANK YOU for your support and encourage you to keep the drive alive.
Ironically, we had people thanking us for coming out and filming them... This documentary would be absolutely "nothing" without you coming out and sharing your story.
Hopefully we'll meet a bunch more tonight and tomorrow!
Thanks again!
E.
I just bumped up my pledged
David
It is about the people stories.......
and the love for this car. I agree.
Once I start the edited I know I will need to do many many pick up shots,I may have to come to you for that cool 914 story....stay tuned.
Done.
I'm in. Better late than never. Great cause!

What documentary? Did I miss something?
I got mine. I've worn it at least twice in the last couple weeks. Yesterday Yopu finally noticed.
Now, I need Jaime to make me two small ones for Yopu and our daughter Samantha...
PM me Jaime.
Maybe i missed something but any updates on the video??
yea! It's in post production. You can't rush greatness! Get off his back!
Didn't you guys see childhood boyhood? It took 12 years to make that movie and not one of you bitched about that...
No shirts here.....
I never got my shirt either! It would be cool to have, but I'm not really concerned. More interested to see the movie!
