When I started racing with VARA I was impressed to learn they had a 'Century Club' for driver/car combos.
You became a member of this elite club when the age of the driver plus the age of the car totaled 100.
I am now a member of this special group. Who else is in the club?
I would be +5 ... if I raced in VARA 43 + 62 = 105
I don't know if he's still racing his 71 w/ 2L in CA's VARA - but Mike Saywer from Seal Beach CA in #502 black 914 would be too I think. Maybe you've run across him. He's not a member on here, but his former partner on red #501 `74 2L (motor now in the `71 #502) was a member Barry B. - they ran as SOB Racing (Saywer Or Briscoe). I now have their #501 as a parts shell for my `73's resto/repairs.
I guess a really young guy/gal could run a really old car & still be in the 100 Club!
... or an old dude/dudette in a newer car!
Congrats!
Tom

100 or 101 depending upon manufacture date vs. model year...I have two '74s.
Looks like our average is over 100? What does this say about the future of the 914.

John,
Take a pic of two or three 20 year old ladies and your car, that is much better than your mug.

108 and I still fit in it!
62 + 40 = 102
Being surrounded by 20-30 something kids all day long, it's nice to finally feel young somewhere, thanks guys.
93 here.
Proud to say that today I achieved the 110 club rating! And, that is with a 76 teener!
Bingo!
Solid 90 here. Dang there are some real olpharts here.
102 for me, hard to believe that these cars are so old and still contemporary in style, I've had people ask me if it is new, so weird.
Maybe we need to get some 914/100 decals for this August group.
75 2.0 plus 65 y.o. Puts me at 105!
40+15=55. Got awhile to go
