He must have had an angel on the passengers seat at this time, the deformation of
the 914 says, the crash-speed has been more than 33mph.

You are right, those pics are not new, but no reason not to share those.

It doesn’t look like the roll cage was tied into the frunk. Which was probably a good thing because it allowed some of the impact force to be absorbed, instead of having it fully transmitted to the occupants back and neck. There is a pretty good bend in the driver’s long and door. In the interest of failure analyses it would be nice to know more about the shunt…

he had his little daughter on the passenger seat
the driver just hurt his knee, his daughter was all right
they had all the luck you could have ...

it's a friend of mine and I met him just a week after the accident

btw - crash speed was close to 60 mph
