Was able to get the Triad installed today. Thanks to Dave for a very good product! Easy installation and I love the sound. Not terribly different from stock but just that perfect amount of gruffness and burble that my stock exhaust was missing.

Nice sound! I noticed you ordered the triad with passenger side muffler exit facing down. Is that to eliminate valance cutting?

Yes, my car is all stock so I didn't want to cut the rear valance or bother with mounting another used one. Good luck with yours. It was definitely worth the investment.

T.C., I do really like the look of the double but wanted to stay stock just slightly more than I wanted that sweet dual exit. Nice.

i have the twin outlet with a modified valence and last year i ordered the stainless steel tips from dave as well. i'll post a picture later, but they look pretty nice! many may not know that he offers those and they were very reasonable.

What was the cost? I am thinking about doing a comparison on a dyno to see if it really is all that. I of course will compare to a couple of other exhausts.

Andy, for me it was just under $375 including shipping. Will likely vary a bit based upon shipping cost. In my view this was a very reasonably priced upgrade/replacement.

Dave at triad has them. Perfect fit. You can have them cut to whatever length you want. These I had cut so that they only stick put about a 1.5" further than the actual exhaust pipe.

Ran one on my otherwise stock '74 2.0. I'm convinced that it picked up midrange torque and had a great sound. No drone at freeway speeds and throaty when in the throttle.

My 74 stock 2.0l with carbs came with the triad dual setup and I love sound of it. I dont have any other reference to compare to but it suits my taste just right. In my town where trucks rule and I just come up to the hubcaps is good to let them know theres someone beside em.

Do you have data that can confirm this? I keep hearing this but no one has any data. Sound is one thing but a muffler should be an integral part of the entire exhaust. In other words if I pony up my meager funds I don't just want sound I want actual data showing the difference in performance IMHO

Understand but I'll pay the $350 for the sound….any performance improvement is a bonus since that wan't my primary objective.

No, nothing empirical, only my butt dyno. At the same time I added this though my standings in the club autocross improved and stayed there. I'm convinced this muffler is the reason I won that season.
