Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a good book on light steel framing. From looking on Amazon, I've found these 2 books:
1. Steel-frame House Construction by Timothy J. Waite $27.56
2. Residential Steel Framing Handbook by Robert Scharff $49.00
I need to quickly bridge the gap from a working knowledge of wood framing to light steel framing. . .

This isn't that OT- 914s are lightgage framing
I don't know the books, but USG (United States Gypsum) has a book that has been the bible in commercial construction. You can get from a supplier or on-line I'm sure.
It shows typical connections, wall sections, fire rated assemblies, etc.
