914World.com _ 914World Garage _ How to make your 914 disappear

So I saw this banner at the Mitty and the only thing I could think of was

"Oh crap, so if you put this on a 914, will it completely evaporate?"

Only if it's 100% rust! biggrin.gif

That EvapoRust actually works very well, only takes off/out the rust & is biodegradable & safe, but deep rust will take longer soak(s) & it leaves pits where the rust was, so the part will need smoothing &/or filling & then refinishing. Light & surface rust leaves little or no pitting nor roughness (it's all dependent upon the depth of the rusted steel).

So I'd recco it as a user.

1 part molasses to 5 parts water and let it soak for about a week or more. Rust will be gone.
