914World.com _ 914World Garage _ I count 6 914s in this photo

Posted by: Jeff Bowlsby Apr 29 2015, 08:46 AM

From a photo of the Weissach facility, in a 1981 928 brochure.

Looks like a fair number of Weissach engineers drove 914s to work in the 1980s. smile.gif

And look at all the colors and compare that to what you would see there today - black, silver, white, grey and maybe a red.

And I see something that I believe would interest Jake in the lower left corner in the shade. (its red)

Is that a 916 with the crushed front end?

The color doesn't match, but colors can change.

Didn't see the smashed yellow car at first. Hmmm. Lots of interesting things in this photo the harder you look.

pretty sure not

it has the black/white markings on the front fender - should be a crash test car

Like the ~61-64 bus double/crew cab pickup?

How about the orange one at the top left corner just in the shade in front of the yellow bug and the yellow one just to the left of pic's center above the roof stacks (next to the 2 orange 911's?).

Obviously this is a Photoshop job! How do I know? Not a single 914 is on jack stands, therefore it can't be real...

Seriously, pretty cool photo, thanks for sharing.
