914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Bronze Side Shift Rear Bushing

Posted by: 914Sixer May 8 2015, 08:06 PM

I got the bronze shifter bushing in this afternoon and went to put it in. I enclosed a picture with the directions. First part of instructions says to follow manual instructions. Second line says to place flange to the REAR of the car. This makes the bushing go in just opposite of the factory plastic one. confused24.gif

The key is when the shifter is in fifth, 3rd etc the rod will hit the bushing if it sticks out too far towards the rear...

Put it in, put the cup on the shifter arm and manually shift it towards the front of the car, in all three gates, make sure it does not hit.
