What model of 911 did a 20mm master cylinder come off of? Will it work on my 914 with A calipers?

The proper 20mm did indeed come from the 911S and also from some 911E with the hydropneumatic stuts. Started in 1969.

That is not the correct master though, it is for a boosted car. The proper 20 looks identical to the 17 and 19 except for the 20 cast into it.

Yes, a 20 should work fine with the 'S' or 'A' calipers, especially if you use the 914/6 rear.

So what is the master cylinder that is in the picture and would that one work?

The guy that I might be getting it from told me that it is from a '80 euro 911sc. Im assuming that the fittings are the same?

Damn it, so a regular 19mm 911 master cylinder is realy the only way to go if your using A calipers?

As far as I know, yes. You know, even if the 20mm worked your brake pedal effort would be harder - assuming stock calipers.
