Just got back from 3 days and 800 miles of fun. Weather was very challenging, but the entire event and people made up for mother natures sense of humor.

Links to days 1 2 3 here:

I wanted to post this, as the value for your money and the experience was outstanding. I will certainly do next years, and even thinking about doing one in B.C.

None of the links you posted seem to work. Get "Connection Refused" errors.

Yes, I drove the 911. Way out of my comfort zone, but so glad I did it.

Links work for me, but google classic car adventures. Days one two and three on the home page.

Even organizer and photographer driving back to BC, more pics once they get back...

Took only a few myself. Only a snippit of the cars. We had 23 start, with 3 retired on day one...

Mike, I hope you and Jim will join next year. I promise sunshine.

Ferg,

We talked about doing it this year with a friend here that has a Sunbeam Tiger. I don't know if I can sell Jim after he sees these pictures! biggrin.gif

If I can do it, Jim can do it!

I used a Temp clear bra on all the rock chip prone places, it was really really worth it. The system I used, started to fail due to the rain, snow ect, but if it was dry It would have lasted the entire weekend.

You can see it around the arches lower rear rocker in this pic. It's called Road Warrior Plus, you roll it on, it dries clear and it came right off. (a little to easy when wet as I learned over the weekend, best for dry weather.)

My entire front end survived chip free, and only a few on a lower rocker where it failed and came off in the snow.

Another year and another super fun weekend Rally.

This year we covered 1008 miles in 3 days. I drove the 86 this year as the Carrera is in the middle of a rebuild. I cannot say enough good things about the event and the fun/$ ratio. We had a 914 this year which was a hoot, and member Ross, drove the classic Benz.

29 Cars total I think.

Pics and story here:

That looks awesome! I have been wanting to do some of these rallies for some time now. They seem to be more prevalent back east.

Ditto. Would have enjoyed this. Somehow missed any notice, even though I'm sending money to Haggerty annually.

It will happen again next year, always the weekend before Memorial Day.

Great weather this year, not so much 2015.

Hope you put it on your calendar. I think a few Durango members are considering it. idea.gif

Awesome pictures, especially the pictures of Skyline on day one. Thanks for sharing.

Man this drive was a blast! Comfortable too in the soft automatic Mercedes, but I'm sure Ferg had more fun in the corners than me!

Hats off to Ross and Jacob, everyone was impressed with the Merc and the ability of it's drivers to fix and carry on!

Next year is already on the books for my brother and I, and we are secretly trying to make the Fall Maple run in Ontario work.
