914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Storage procedures

Going to be away from my car for a couple of months. Work is taking me away from home for a bit. The longest time away would be about 3 months. Is there any special storage procedures you all recommend? Car is in good running condition, and will get an oil change upon my return. Thus far, after a search, the only solid recommendation I could find is to put some sta-bil in the tank. Anything else? Disconnect the battery, maybe?

Thanks in advance for the help!

a good battery maintainer. A squirt of oil in each spark plug hole. Fresh oil, the acids can do some harm and new oils haven't formed these acids yet. If you can get it up off the ground the tires will love you for it.

Maybe some Stabil in the fuel?

Top off the tank, overinflate the tires. I'd change the oil now, not later.
