In the process of replacing my ignition switch this little copper part fell out when removing the wiper/turn signal switches. I cannot find where it goes?

Under the steering wheel on the column or on the steering wheel. Go to Porsche.com and look for the 914 parts catalog to check the exact location.

Maybe you can give us a little more information on this small part. I've been told that this small offset piece grounds the wiper switch. Is it used on all 73-76 wiper switches or only certain years? Does the turn signal switch use anything similar? I'm always at a loss when it comes to electrical.
