I wanted to paint under the HPH flares before putting them on, so I did.
I gotta admit, it's YELLOW

I believe that is the first teener I have ever seen that had a "front boot lid" that looks as if it "fits" correctly.
Mr. Sheridan says the one he made me weighs 8lbs.
You gonna leave that heavy thing all ricey like?
Yes I am, one year at a time.
CCLINAARP
JP, Looks nice! Bill flared his a little to match the curve HPH flares. Maybe he left more metal...
Joe, can you show a pic of the underside of "your" CF lids?
Felix, here's the inside of your decks:

Uhhh.. I hate to burst your bubble... but that car ain't fast. It's missing some really important pieces to be fast.... LIKE WHEELS!!!!!!! |
I couldn't stay silent on this thread with such a fitting title ?
Might not always be faster, but to me, YCAF (Yellow Cars Are Fine !!)

JP,
What rockers you gonna run?
And did you settle on 16 inch rims?
Bill P.
Hay, Bill.
Stock rockers, but cut off a bit where they pass behind the fenders.
Got a set of Monocoque 10 X 16s comming ....9lbs ea. A pic, of
course. The steelies were up in the air too long. The sellers came thru the day after I committed to these so I had to pass...even at 400 bucks.....that cost me a pretty penny.
2 of the wheels have 10 X 22 slicks in decent shape. I priced the 11 X 23.5s...ouch, you could have warned me. $250 tiars
hurt a CSOB to the bone.

Hey JP,
9lbs?....no shit? Never heard of that brand before. You sure they're made of metal? Yep...those 23.5x11's ain't cheap. I've got the 22's and 23/5's and I'll see if I have much different times in Auto-x with the two sets. If the times are close...I'll use the 22's for auto-x and the wider tires for the track...
When do you think you will be track worthy? Due to circumstances beyond my control, it looks like I won't be out until June or July now....
Bill P.
Want... touch them...
KT
Paint goes on the biggest pile of parts next weekend....come hell or high water. The hoods will be here early this week. One door is ready to shoot. One door is stripped but otherwise untouched......gawd....gotta weld on some brackets.... If I haven't kilt off all my brain cells when that's over, I'll get to wrenchin' . April 1 is my target date...only a month behind schedule. PCA AX on 17 April will be ULYFs comming out party.
We gots hoods. There are no braces in these......bend to fit

I'll get at it when I take off the masking for the interior.
Still gotta do the doors, hoods I engine cover. Those are a piece of cake. Thus far I've used about 2/3rds of a gallon.
Nice day for painting, tho....bout 65-70 deg.....lotso bugs, tho.

AWESOME!
Yellow is fabulous.
Put the "Carerra" script on the door and it will match my buddy Harry's 911RS.
Eddie
ps: Use a razor blade (single edge) on the runs & drools.
