I need some clarification. I have temp. seats in my car, but I am going to install a nice set I have stashed in the attic.
The one on the right sets off vertical by a couple inches. I remember some discussion about this a couple years ago.
Is the difference in the seat or the rails?
My adjustment levers are on the correct side, so could I have assembled the seat rail incorrectly?
I want to make sure my good seats are installed correctly.
Thanks Mike
There is a difference in the seats. The back of the headrests are angled to match the curve of the engine and rear trunk lids.
Installed correctly

they have different part numbers and sit differently in the car. There is a cutout on the driver seat for the parking brake and even the cushions differ slightly. That being said, many times the driver seat is worn and sometimes the fiberglass is cracked since the left side gets heavily leaned on when you enter and exit the car. the passenger seat works fine if that's what you got.
You may have 2 drivers seats?
An old thread about the differences ...

[/quote Perfect! I could not find this thread. Thanks to all of you. I never noticed the difference with the E-brake indent on the driver side seat. Again thanks Mike
