914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Posted by: sharper Jul 19 2015, 05:50 PM

I went to take my top off yesterday and noticed the corner of the front pad is ripped. I have no idea how it happened but I'd like to fix it before it tears off completely. Does anyone have a trick for fixing this? Attached Image

I'd use some clear "Goop" brand glue and look for a better one in the meantime. This is a common problem with 914 dashes, targa pads, & front pads like yours.

Try Rubber Cement, or 3M black trim adhesive

Gorilla glue and a clamp or a new pad.

Had the same issue on a top. Fixed it with black silicone glue. Use a spring clamp to hold it while it sets, and it will be good as new.

3m black trim adhesive works great, and remains flexible...

Wet suit glue.
