914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Flywheel cut 0.012 or 12 Thousandths, do I need a pivot ball shim?

Flywheel was just machine turned at 12 thousands (0.012), machinist said it was hardly any material removed to get a good surface, do I need to put a shim under the pivot ball to make up this difference?

Thank you
