914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Heater console control

I'm trying to take the heater control box out so I can clean it, but there are the thick wires that go to the middle and bottom controls that control where the hot and fresh air goes.... I don't get what to do from here. Where do they disconnect? Any help ? Thank you..

Also... while I'm at it, I noticed inside the steering column there are two tubes/hoses that connect to the turn signal and wiper area. One of them is corroded and not connected so, What exactly are these for?

The hoses are for the windshield washers.

Heater controls: It's been a while, so I'm a little fuzzy. There are three cables that are attached to the top of the control box. I think there is a bracket that bolts it to the bottom of the dash. Remove this bolt and the box will slide out the front of the dash exposing the cable ends. Like I said, it's been a while so I'm sure I omitted something, or got something backwards.

Hope this helps.

Thank you...
I've gotten as far as taking out the bolt and pull the heater console box... Do I just unhook the control cables from the heater console? This seems complicated to put back in, so I am confused on what to do from here.

Also.. is there someplace I can buy a replacement hose for the windshield washer system?
