Assuming that the cost is the same, which would be best to get for my 2.7l /6 rebuild- 1. Rebuilt stock connecting rods or 2. new h beam rods? The car will be used for spirited street driving.

You will be fine with the stock rods,the later/larger motors has con-rod issues if the motors were over-reved.

Cost isn't anywhere near the same.

Stock rods don't last as well above 7500

Good rods become important for sustained 8k race motors
