Would hate to drive over the Rockies in that brick.

It may be under powered and look like a brick but it makes me think of adventure. This is coming from the owner of a 1966 VW Bus who has made many memorable trips troughout the US and Canada. I am sure there are many others out there like me.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm thinking.. V8 conversion! Think the transaxle will hold up? smile.gif

Go to Samba.com for a bunch of strange air cooled bus stuff.
This thing is in there somewhere.

Yes it would hold up. At one time I had a V6 in my bus with the stock transaxle and it did fine. There are others who have successfully put V8s in older busses. I think Kennedy is still the primary supplier for adapter plates and hardware for the conversions.

Mmm, don't know about a 52 356 tranny though. Hard to know what is in this motorhome.

It looks like the 914, in that it is hard to tell if it is "coming or going". biggrin.gif

Thanks
