Sooooo... I am runnig into a small backfiring problem,
Is it coming from the combustion chamber? coming from an exhaust manifold, could be a small leak from the manifold gasket? sparkplug not working right?

GEEEEEEEEEEEEz dont you all love cars?
Humm humm, so first time for me on a teener doing this kinda work
-what sparks plug should I buy/where/how much?
-what set of wires? Is accel sparks plug wires ok for our cars? they r pretty cheap and usually work good.

Could it be the timing thats not right?
its backfiring at idle or very low rpm....when I drive nothing hapens....just when I let go of the gas pedal....
thanks for the help y'all.

let her idle and get under the car and feel around for air moving (that doesn't come off the fan) ...

you can usually feel it pretty easily. fix depends on location of the leak ...

Could be your timing is retarded too much, but I generally agree with Andy. If it pops when you let off the gas, it's very likely a leaky exhaust. My bet would be it's right at the head, so check to see that all 8 studs are in place and a nut hasn't fallen off.
