914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Transmission bearings (new)

I haven't tried Sunset yet but all the usual sources (Pelican,AA,Automotion, etc.) The most expensive bearing is the Pinion bearing that seats in the case. There is a guy on http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-901-911-914-Transmission-Pinion-Bearing-/160423415141?hash=item2559fb0d65&vxp=mtr selling this bearing at a huge discount. Any experience with these?

Check with Rich at HPH. It's not worth buying a cheap bearing to put in the middle of the transmission. When the bearing goes, it will take out the ring and pinion and cost you more.

Dr. Evil has a good source. They are tip top quality bearings that you can trust. Find him.

Check carquip.com

It's interesting that Carquip is offering the same bearing on Ebay as the link I posted. It must be a legitimate replacement albeit for a different application (read:not Porsche).

I'll be making some calls but still welcoming your suggestions.
