Whatever happened to high mileage badges? I did a google search for 100k mile Porsche badges and apparently they don't exist any more. The idea was spawned when a lovely old Mercedes pulled up behind me this weekend and the front grill was festooned with those cool badges. Anyone know if these exist for Porsche?

A 100K badge on a 914 is either a) its still running!, or b) low mileage garage find - $30K.

I believe the only MB and Porsche badges I saw were for KM, not sure I've seen a miles one. Goes to show you that 62k miles was a big deal back it the day. Highest one I've seen is the 250,000 KM Mercedes one.

KM?
That's not high mileage, its when the warranty wears off.

Is that an offer Ways? Mine has 79K...

Are you guys serious? Your cars are quoting some pretty low mileage for something ~40 years old. My '74 is coming up on 180K miles. Engine work done at 135K though.

Rob you want to part with yours for 30k?
I think the real badge would be
"DD" or "Daily Driver"
Probably 1% of 914's are driven daily now...

I suppose I could daily drive Andrew. Long commute to Berkeley though.
No. I probably wouldn't sell it for 30K

I'll have my 8 yo make you a badge! Or better yet, he can use markers on the hood. When's the next concourse?

No. I don't like talking to Ways. He photoshops garbage cans next to my car.
