914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Quick question, fuel lines

Posted by: Mark Henry Sep 10 2015, 10:14 AM

The lines coming out of the firewall, which one is out to the engine and which one is the return?

The one closest to the clutch tube or the one passanger side?

Unmolested car, but I'll double check at the tank later to be sure.

thanks.

On early cars the supply is on the right,
and on late cars the return is on the left.

Either....

There, now you have three answers.

Honestly, they can be switched at the tank, so that will help you decide....how the two rubber hoses are hooked up.

Isn't the supply on the right so it comes up the front hole after turning 90degrees w/o crossing over the return?

The front hole is the correct hole. Don't let it slip into the back hole. That is the wrong hole. blink.gif
