Have quite a few images of red dirt. Will upload later.
Thanks for the fun all.
Did everyone wrap it up today?
Just made it home, had a great time with everyone!
Hiked today in Escalante Petrified Forest State Park
Commanding view of downtown Escalante
Escalante Airport
Looks like it was fun! Lots of hiking ... I like that! Bad timing this year, just got home from my sister's wedding in Minnesota. Next year this is (again) on my list of must-do's. And since I'm out of relatives to be getting married, I think I might make it! Keep on keeping on out there 914ers!
Looks like you guys had fun after the rift raft cleared out.....
Thank you to everyone(especially Sha-A-Ron and Brnat) for putting together another great event! So where are we going next year?
Thanks Sharon, Brnat, Eric and everyone who showed up.
Great people. Great cars and great roads. <3
Homeward bound. Bye Escalante! :beer2:
Waterfall.
Made it home about 10am today! Already back at work unfortunately .
Was a great weekend! Thanks to all the organizers (Sharon, Gint, Brant?) If I forgot you guess you just aren't that important
Seriously the weather was perfect! The views incredible on the drive's & hikes. It was really great seeing everyone again. Awesome being there with my car finished again. Even won the award for "Most Headache Inducing Paint Color" . I was kind of offended at first. Then I figured out what they meant. As all people could do is just sit there & admire it. After not blinking for 20 minutes as you took in it's beauty. I get it
High over Utah
I landed in Paso Robles about 2 hours ago. Great flight. I'll post more later.

Awesome Wills!!
still in Utah leaving for the airport in an hour. i had a fantastic time. pictures and text later today. managed not to get any little pricks in my mouth. you had to be there.
Cecil B DeWills. Nice job.

the car was MUCH louder in person. that exercise was going on at the far end of the complex. i was in my room with the door open. that was my loaner for the weekend. super happy the engine noise didn't end abruptly. i needed the keys for a 'minute' after i walked up to see what was going on.
sanded bondo, fixed pedal cluster, lowered the rear 1.25 inches, raised the front 1.5 turns= much better driver..
the piant seems to be International Harvester Red over Malaga Red

do these tires make my butt look big? as jp would say, 'it has plenty of tair'.

btw, ALL steel fabrication with a little filler to blend it all in. "The Red Beast", that's what i call it. bungee cord safety redundancy. no radio, no heat, one wiper blade, plenty of noise, mega $ horn button. gives one time to contemplate life on a 1k road trip. not quite so darty with the adjustments, yes?
Attached thumbnail(s)
WHAT? NO BADGE? now the car is all fuched up. every fill up was a bunch of ?s. one gal's friend had one in college but it looked dif and she wasn't sure what make it was. "was it a fiat?". "YES!". "this isn't a fiat…"
Tuesday nite / Wednesday morn (12 AM) daughter went into labor. Not sure what time it all happened, but Jacob Allen Kritz was a healthy baby. Guess he knew how important the RRC was.
Had babysitting duties from that time until now. "Pa" got along well with the granddaughter and even changed a few diapers. Not sure I got them on correctly, but it plugged the appropriate places.
Also great training for when I get old unless I use pullups.
Sorry, no pics or further information. Got to see/hold new grandson tonight!
Well, that's #4. When Christmas rolls around I'm taking a road trip.
Congrats Ron!!
Awesome. Congrats Ron
Congrats Ron
Ron - that is great news!
Has anyone heard if Rick Ollah is a new granddad yet?
Congrats Ron! I am patiently waiting to be a Grandpa. One daughter married & one to go. My son has a while before that's an option. LOL!
had to add in a sirius radio 'fun time' spending. sometimes you never know the damages total until after you're home. saw one of these last weekend and ordered it saturday. surprisingly good sound. i bought the 'home kit' too.

I paid for mine with a rectangular piece of preprinted paper. Pretty easy if you get my meaning and catch my drift. And a bump for the deadbeats.

Larrys museum is pretty impressive, don't you think?
It was INCREDIBLE (museum at miller motor sports park)! You start doing the mental tally and it's 'there's another couple of million $'. The 1,2,3 finisher Cobras at their debut at LeMans. Altered wheel base 'funny car'. A row of gt40s. Mega rare parts...everywhere you looked there was something. If the collection ever went to auction, records would be set. It will be interesting to see how the new ownership deal for the complex works out. The place is damn near in jeff's front yard.
Got back yesterday from the 2019 RRC. Fun to go back and relive the memories!
That link does not work.
Sadley Its been 5 yrs Since I saw Slits for the final Laugh..
