914World.com _ 914World Garage _ How much Clutch fork travel......???

Posted by: Bazza Mar 6 2005, 04:46 PM

Hey gang type.gif

I got the engine running and ran into the dreaded "sat so long the clutch may be stuck to the flywheel" syndrome...I think. I pulled the RR wheel and had a freind depress the clutch pedal and the clutch fork only moves backward less than 1/2 inch. I put a lever in there and it doesn't move back further with that done either - I didn't put all my force into in for fear of breaking something ar15.gif . So my question is - shouldn't the clutch fork (the part the clutch cable ends up at) move freely when pryed and if so more than 1/2 inch? Before I try and break the clutch free on the road smash.gif - which doesn't always work as you all know wacko.gif - I'm wondering if an engine drop is likely going to be needed to resolve this issue sad.gif

Thanks for your help and opinions clap.gif once again aktion035.gif
