Hey Alfred,
Send Alex and Cindy over, and I'll help them translate the article
cheers,
Jeroen
haha, not bad alfred ...
i'll do a complete translation later, but one thing is very interesting:
the guy (H. v. Hanstein) was hired (as a contractor) by Porsche as the head of public relations/advertising for the newly founded "VW-Porsche" company.
he sais that he never really liked the 914, that he's a 356 and 911 guy and that the introduction of the 914 (a porsche for the masses) made the name Porsche available to people of lesser status (he actually mentions Pimps!). he complains about the people (customers) he had to deal with and how he misses the "elite" clientel of the 356 and 911 years.
hmmmm, could that be (him in control of advertising etc.) be the reason why the 914 never sold well in germany?
later,
Andy
The article says he hates MATH!!!
Thanks Andy, I bookmarked that site right away
cheers,
Jeroen
That's a revelation. Too bad Stalin didn't get him. Anyone want to buy a math book real cheap? Just pay shipping.
Okay... for my Non-PC picture of the day...
