One of the carbs (Weber 44) has been leaking a small amount of fuel. This may sound silly, but is there any reason why you can't replace just one of the carbs and not both?

Leaking from where? First thing is fuel pressure 3psi?

The mechanic I took it to said they took the carb apart and it has a crack on the inside near some linkage, hence the leak.
