Who carries the tiny bulbs that fit the center console gauges? Checked a couple of FLAPS, scanned PP, haven't found any yet.

Pelican and GPR carry them....the little winky board (911@ pelican) has a thread about a guy importing 3v bulbs.....the stock ones are 2v. Ya gotta call them....

That would be 3w (watts), not 3v (volts). They're 12 volt, 0.25amp bulbs, drawing 3 watts. So they're a tad brighter than the 2w bulbs.

Complete with some jerk claiming you need to upgrade the wiring harness to cope with the "extra load". Uh huh.

Lessee, 5 gauges. Figure 15 bulbs with all of the idiot lights. Or 45W instead of 30W total with all lights on full. 3amps v. 2amps assuming 14v system voltage for all of 'em combined. 20awg wire (if the other guy on that thread is correct) is rated for 5.5amps. Said jerk thought it was all "only" 18awg, which is rated for 8 amps.

Note that you should not use a higher-powered bulb on the alternator warning light! Doing so may interfere with the way that it helps "boot-strap" the field in the alternator... Resuling in no (or improper) charging!
