I watched the whole thing during an embarrassing ride in the front of a tow truck. 914 being towed behind me. What
first looked like a cloud shot up to what the local news now reports to be about 36,000ft. I had a really good view
coming from jest southeast of Portland. I didn’t bother to say anything to the two tow truck guys, who were
engrossed in a conversation about kick-ass alligator wrestling. The good news is that after getting off the hook my
914 started right up. Guess I had vapor lock in this warm Northwest weather. Do 914’s get vapor lock?

Yoei66,

Just out of curiosity, what tow company was it that you used? Also, my '75 sometimes has a starting problem that seems to be related to the relay under the passenger seat(it won't turn over or even click). 914s will vapor lock, but it's pretty cool out for that at this time of year. I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I'd be happy to take a look if you need any help.

You know they found a flint blade in his back, right? Police suspect it was a ride-by spearing. Pasco-man is being sought for questioning.

agree.gif yellowstone it is ...

it's a hotspot and the north american continent is moving over the hotspot.
the (now dormant) vulcanos here in the bay area used to be over the same hotspot where yellowstone now is. is going to continue to move east.
well, actually, the hot spot is stationary and it's north america that moves west ...
but the result is the same, one day, the hotspot will be under new york city!
