914World.com _ 914World Garage _ World's #1 Porsche Classic Car Center

... not a single 914 in sight...

Last Thursday night, The Porsche Center near my hometown (30 miles / 1/2 hours drive south) opened it's new 'annex': World's first Porsche Classic Car Center. Totally endorsed by the Zuffenhausen factory. In fact two of the Board Members came over for the official opening.

The PCCC is about 280,000 square feet and houses an operating theatre-like facility, a bodyshop and a double spray booth (Spies Hecker paint). No upholstery shop, though. And off course an expensive looking showroom.

The PCCC let it all out: when we (my friend John) and I arrived near the Center, we were directed towards a large and securited parking lot. We were 'shuttled' between the parking lot and the PCCC with hybrid Panameras and Macans (Macan for us)

Biggest surprise is the owner's private collection. To give you an idea: more cars than I've seen in Maranello last summer and certainly equally unique.

I think that pics will tell the story. As said, a little sad without a 914...

Bad ass! Looks like fun.

This is a cool addition and might be worth something down the road.

It would help if Porsche starts building good cars again.

If I win the lottery, I plan to open the 914 Premiere Restoration Center in San Ramon, CA.
