Anyone know what type of rims these are? I am having a hard time finding information on them by searching the site. Just brought a car home today with these on it.
Any information or insite is appreciated.

Several companies sold them. Probably all made by the same company.
Mine had the American Racing label on them, others were sold by Gurney.
Try the VW sites.
I dont know who made them but I had some on my car. They are very heavy, I did a five bolt convertion so didnt need them any more. I tried to sell them but no intrest, there are now gathering dust.

Wow, you all are quick! That kind of bums me out that these are aftermarket and heavy. Oh well, I am going to pull the car apart for rust repairs, I'll add better rims to the list.

Western Wheels was another mker of that style, & IIRC the Gurney was their model name for it. They look nice polished.
PS - they are aftermarket, but were period correct & available from Porsche+Audi dealers, tire shops, etc. back in the day. My buddy's car below was equipped by the SoCal P+A dealership when he got it new. See the O&H Wheels & Tires link below for the OE options - depending upon what year yours is, they could be one of 2 steel style wheels, Pedrini, Mahle "Baby Gas Burners" or Fuchs 2 Liter Alloys - all in 4 lug.
My buddy has some on his OO 71 914/4 with <62000 mi, so that's what his were called.

His & most of them are not the 914's 40 ET offset, so they tend to limit upsizing tires due to tight fit in the rear wells, ergo 165 was about the biggest he could do with only about 1/4" - 3/8" clearance to the fenders (fenders not rolled to flatten the lips), ergo spacers make it worse.

I bought a set for $100 with old tires,
I'd pop one off and see if you see a name stamped/cast into it.
The openings on yours look better than mine, yours almost look machined, mine are as cast and don't look as nice.
Thanks again everyone. I cant wait to post rust repair questions, feeling better about my purchase already. I'll get some photos up soon. Have to pull the interior and trunk spaces to see what I am truly dealing with.
I had them on my '74 2.0 as it came with the steelers and I really didn't like their looks.
I thought they did a nice job of dressing up the car, and I seem to remember they made five lug versions as well. Used those strange stepped lug nuts as well.

I believe these are McAfee wheels.
A friend in OC has them on his '68 911.
I was under the impression they were worth reasonable money and are an alloy wheel of some sort.
