Has anyone ever seen a post by someone claiming to be affliatied with the Bursch Exhaust company??

You see people asking quesitons or complaining, but I have never heard of "them" doing anything about it.

I've been wondering the same thing.

I did Google and alltheweb searches on Bursch Exhaust and all I came up with were resellers, no mention of the manufacturer.

In the recenet Excellence magazine article about the 911 based four cylinder engine in the 356 it mentions that the guy had Bursch make a special header system. Maybe they do exist. Or was that just words that often get thrown in to these articles to make everything sound so "special"?

Bursch sponsored last years PCA club race at Ca. Speedway.

I know they exist.. they are very low key. Much like SSI has been in the past. LOL

FWIW the Bursch products are manufacturered in Pasadena CA by a company called "Horsepower Engineering". That is also the name & address printed on the boxes their stuff comes in, IIRC. The main dude is Doug Robinson. (Coincidentally I bought my old blue 911 from his son, Gordon, who is also a Porsche freak.)

I have actually never heard of a "Bursch" company. It may just be a brand name.

FWIW, I have found "Horsepower Engineering" to stand behind their products. I purchased a new Bursch exhaust from PP.Within six months it had developed a small leak where a weld had pulled away the metal at a joint.

I called, they built me one that weekend, sent it out ASAP, got it in a couple of days and I packed up the old one. No cost to me!

I've had two Bursch systems. A glass-pack that came on my current 914, and the turbo muffler version I replaced it with. I think they are well made. Considering the (low) cost I'm impressed with the care that apears to have gone into the construction. They seem to hold up well. After 3 years it still looks good. I've also seen the favorable dyno numbers Bruce Anderson has published. I don't see anything to complain about.
