Hi,
getting my tools together...making sure I got everything for an engine drop...does anyone know the size of the 12 point star required to remove the cv joint bolts? confused24.gif

It's called a tripple square, I think 12 point is different?

Tripe square would be 3 (triple) * 4 (square) = 12. poke.gif

I think they're synonymous. They're called serrated as well.

8MM triple square. Ask the tool joint for "Bug CV bolt tool"; It's all they know. wacko.gif

And then get new regular hex socket CV bolts from Porsche, and throw those damn triple square socket bolts away.

Or, you could buy a set of regular socket head bolts from me that are drilled for safety wire! $16 a set (shameless plug)
