Why oh why are people fascinated with black wheels? They look like they are covered in brake dust...

Sorry.

I am SURE they will look great on your car, though. smile.gif

Regards.

It's not so much a fascination with black wheels, I just refuse to have silver wheels.

I'm already considering getting another set and doing them yellow.

Posted by: jasons Mar 18 2005, 08:22 PM

That car is gonna be the bees knees! (No yellow and black pun intended BTW)

Posted by: db9146 Mar 18 2005, 08:31 PM

Joe, the contrast will look nice.

Are you running any sort of emergency brake set-up? If so, what? How?

Posted by: Qarl Mar 18 2005, 08:40 PM

I'm sure, like everything else on your car, it is going to turn out perfect.

Keep going dude!

I like black wheels. All the factory race cars had them, 917, 908, 907, 935 etc...

Looks good buddy, don't forget the tires before the test drive huh.gif

Posted by: ChrisReale Mar 18 2005, 08:56 PM

I like black wheels. Especially on a red car. I might get my Panasports powder coated black...

Oooooowwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!

I don't have to ask for post tires pics do I? Don't make me use the "worthless without pics" smiley!

Nope. Put it in first and leave it alone.

wheels look great. Eastwood sells powder coating stuff.

Posted by: Gint Mar 19 2005, 08:27 AM

Hey Joe! Got those tires on yet? It's tomorrow now.

I have the Eastwood unit, and an oven in my garage. I've bought poweders from Eastwood. I found a Denver distributor for http://www.cardinalpaint.com/html/main.html, but I have to buy 5 pounds at a time. Which is fne if your doing a big job, but even a full 914 suspension only used about 2-2.5 pounds.

That reminds me, I need to go down there and see if any of thier oranges come close to tangerine. That I could use 5 pounds of!

Hey Joe,

Very cool! Post a picture when you get the tires mounted. The yellow and black are going to look great! I think it was worth the wait, the powder coater looks like he did a good job! smilie_pokal.gif
