914World.com _ 914World Garage _ 914/6 replacement for rear axes / guiding arm rubbers ?

Hi,

The rubbers of the rear axes / guiding arms of my /6 are worn and I would like to change them. There is no part number in the Porsche Parts Cataloge and these were not offered as spare Part from the Factory. I know that these are available for track purposes, but I want to have an original softer version. Any hints where I can get these?

Used to be available from factory in the new trailing arm assembly.

Ask Eric Shea at Pmbperformance if elephant rubber bushings are an exact match. I think they are.

I have Elephant Racing equipment on my 914 rear suspension so they do fit; I also have the Elephant Racing equipment on my 911 Carrera front. Bronze/brass therefore a little expensive but do have zert fittings for greasing. I like them.

The only other ones I ran across where the plastic/delrin(?) type which are probably the ones being mentioned for racing. I have seen threads on using these and putting zert fittings in after cutting grease channels. The grease channels should make the suspension mover without any positional sticking.

Run a search to determine if the regular rubber ones are available and for procedures since they were also mentioned in the threads.

Understand that "racing" versions will actually be softer riding than the factory and offer better precision of the rear suspension.

The trailing arm has freer movement with the newer bushings and has almost 0 flex in it and therefore provides a smoother and better handling car.

I would go with the elephant racing bushings if I didnt already have needle roller bearings on all 4 corners.
